AI Won’t Replace You, But Someone Using AI Will

AI isn’t coming, it’s already here. The real question is: will you embrace it before your competition leaves you behind?

Hey, it’s David!

There’s a moment on every flight when you look out the window and realize how fast you're moving …30,000 feet up, cruising at 500 mph. Yet, inside the cabin, it feels like you’re barely moving.

That’s AI right now.

On the surface, it might seem like just another tool in the tech stack. But in reality, it’s fundamentally shifting how business is done; quietly, relentlessly, and at scale.

Some are still saying, “That’s cool, I’ll check it out later.”

Meanwhile, their competitors are already using it to automate the grind and pull ahead.

Not because they’re smarter.
Not because they’re working harder.
But because they’re letting AI handle what’s slowing everyone else down.

…I wonder how much of our flights are on “autopilot”

I was walking onto a flight recently, watching the pilots go through their pre-flight checks. Button presses, cross-checks, confirmations… it’s a process. But once we hit cruising altitude… their autopilot takes over.

That doesn’t mean the pilots kick back with a coffee and let the plane fly itself. It means they shift their focus; monitoring conditions, planning for turbulence, and preparing for landing. The grunt work? Automated. The strategy? All human.

M&A is heading in the same direction. The firms still stuck in spreadsheets, manually chasing data, and slow-walking diligence? They’re flying blind while their competitors use AI to speed up deal sourcing, automate due diligence, and flag risks before they become problems.

AI won’t replace the dealmaker. But it will expose inefficiencies. The firms that adapt will move faster, close stronger, and win more. The ones that don’t? They’ll still be stuck on the runway while everyone else is already airborne.

The Competitive Edge No One’s Talking About

Most people think of AI as some futuristic, sci-fi concept. But the real power isn’t in what it could do one day…

It’s in what it’s already doing right now.

  • Sales teams that once spent hours hunting down prospects? AI finds them in minutes.

  • Outreach that used to feel robotic? AI personalizes it at scale.

  • Follow-ups that used to slip through the cracks? AI keeps the conversation moving.

The result?

While some are stuck doing business the old way, others are automating the grunt work and reallocating their time where it matters; building relationships, closing deals, and growing faster.

AI Won’t Replace You. But It Will Expose the Gaps.

AI isn’t here to replace intuition, strategy, or relationship-building. What it does is free you from repetitive tasks, giving you back the bandwidth to focus on what actually moves the needle.

Two years from now, businesses will fall into two camps:
✅ Those who leverage AI to automate, scale, and win.
❌ Those who resist it (and wonder why they’re falling behind.)

The question isn’t, “Will AI replace us?”

The real question is, “Will we embrace it before our competition leaves us behind?”

I’ll leave you with this final question, what’s one part of your revenue process that AI could automate today?
